Anhalt Hall preserves much of the region’s German-Texan heritage with its dances and community events held at the Germania Farmers Verein historic dance hall.
Ten miles away in Honey Creek, the congregation at St. Joseph Catholic Church traces its roots to 1876 and has worshipped at its current location since the 1890s. Visit the historic 1904 Chapel on the Hill and 1912 Rock Church, which are right off Highway 46 west of Spring Branch.
Built as a cotton gin in 1900, the Bergheim General Store – seven more miles from Honey Creek on Highway 46 – has been in the Engel family for more than a century – and still serves as a retail outlet for farm equipment, groceries, and other supplies.
