Austin: Texas State Cemetery

The cemetery is the final resting place of, and serves as a tribute to, Texans who have made significant contributions to the state and the nation. It includes two memorials specific to World War II:

Nine Men of Praha: In memory of nine soldiers represented an entire generation of men from Praha, a small community in Fayette County.

VE/VJ Day: Dedicated to all World War II veterans and features a timeline of significant events as well as two bronze plaques depicting Allied overall victories in Europe and the Pacific.
