Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th U.S. Calvary served at Historic Fort Stockton in the 1860s and 1870s. Original and reconstructed buildings, including officers' quarters, barracks, a guardhouse, and prisoner cells, along with a museum reveal the history of their activities. Living history exhibits are part of the annual Old Fort Day celebration every October.
