Allen Chapel is the oldest and largest African Methodist Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.
Stained glass window in the church
The Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church was organized in 1875, and architect William Sidney Pittman drew up the designs for this sanctuary in 1914. The building’s design demonstrates a modified Tudor Gothic Revival style, with tall stained-glass windows and a bell tower on one corner.
