Zaragoza Birthplace State Historic Site

Built in 1749, Presidio La Bahía claimed Texas as a Spanish territory. The only surviving example of a Spanish Colonial mission/presidio complex in Texas, the presidio continues to serve the Goliad community as a spiritual center and historic site.  Visitors may participate in church services and tour the onsite museum and presidio grounds.
