Wartime history is the collection and exhibit focus of the Texas Heritage Museum. This remarkable collection includes personal stories of native Texans at war, and how those experiences have influenced how we live today. The Weapons Gallery features a riveting collection of large weapons, including many from World War I.
The Historical Research Center is nationally recognized as a Civil War repository, with an extensive collection of maps, photographs, soldiers’ letters, diaries, and unpublished manuscripts from all Texas wars.
The museum is comprised of three divisions: Galleries and Collection, Historical Research Center and the Hill College Press, which publishes award-wining historical books about the military history of Texas and the history of North Central Texas.
