Founded in 1852, the King Ranch counts amongst the largest land holdings in Texas, with 825,000 acres spread across four counties. The ranch is operated by Hispanic cowboys known as Los Kinenos, whose story is retold in the onsite King Ranch visitor center. Tours and various other activities are available by appointment. A museum interpreting King Ranch history is located in nearby Kingsville.
