Midland hosted the Army’s largest bombardier training school in the nation during World War II. Operated by the High Sky Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, the museum highlights stories of the school, plus exhibits about the impact of World War II on West Texas. The High Sky Wing maintains and operates a large collection of historic aircraft, many of which are featured in the annual high-flying event, AIRSHO.
