Mission: La Lomita Historic District

Originally built in 1865 by Missionary Oblates on land granted by the King of Spain, this chapel served the spiritual needs of Spanish settlers to the region. The homes and structures that comprise the surrounding historic district provide a glimpse into the experience of Spanish settlers who lived and worked on the banks of the Rio Grande.
