Located outside Rio Grande City, Rancho Lomitas is a 170 acre private wildlife preserve owned and operated by Benito and Toni Trevino. Bird and butterfly observers will find excellent habitat to encounter a variety of species in the United States’ most biologically diverse wildlife corridor. Rancho Lomitas also offers visitors an opportunity to explore the flora and fauna of South Texas through the lens of local heritage and culture during Benito Trevino’s expert lectures on native plant use.
