More than 2,000 Royal Air Force pilots, plus 200 American pilots, trained in Terrell. Displays feature a “Link Trainer” flight simulator, a scale model of the school, and an RAF uniform. Local citizens welcomed the British and forged lifelong bonds. Thirty-five trainees married American women and returned to live in the U.S., many in Texas.
