Balmorhea State Park
Located near the Davis Mountains, Balmorhea State Park marries historical significance and natural wonder. Mexican farmers who first settled the area deemed the waters San Solomon Springs and hand-dug irrigation canals to nearby crops. Today, those late-19th-century irrigation canals are part of a larger system that supplies water to about 12,900 acres of farmland.
