Tulia: Swisher County Archives and Museum

The Swisher County Archives and Museum in Tulia include exhibits on Quanah Parker, Ranald Mackenzie, and a map reproduced from a war memoir by Second Lieutenant Robert G. Carter, a Medal of Honor winner. Carter’s book, On the Border with Mackenzie, written shortly before his death in 1935, chronicles his service on the northern Mexico border and West Texas frontier some 60 years earlier.
