Victoria: Museum of the Coastal Bend

What was it like to live at La Salle's settlement, Fort Saint Louis? A settler's journal, seven cannons, and other artifacts help to paint a picture of life on Garcitas Creek. An exhibit also explores the Texas Historical Commission's excavation at the site of the fort, unearthing hundreds of thousands of French and Spanish artifacts.
